Default a/c oil capacity-replacing everything

I know this topic has been beaten to death on several sites but after hours of searching and reading I can't get a straight answer on the exact amount of oil my system takes. I have a 1999 XJ that at present has no a/c due to leaks in the evaporator and compressor. My mechanic evacuated the system, ran dye through it and diagnosed the problem. I plan on replacing the evaporator, heater core, accumulator, blower motor, compressor and all related lines and hoses. Assuming the compressor comes pre-filled, how much more oil will I need to add and to what component(s)? I've read half in the compressor and half in the accumulator but haven't read a specific amount for a '99. Also, being that I want to replace everything, is there any specific vendor or brand to use and any to avoid? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Make sure the Liquid Line/Fixed Orifice tube is replaced.

Flush out the Condenser.

The system takes 8.1 fluid ounces of oil.

Empty out any oil that may be in the replacement compressor.

Add 4 ounces oil to the Accumulator and 4 to the compressor.

PAG 100 oil w/dye is what you need. AC Pro is okay.

I am putting my parts order together on RockAuto and Four Seasons seems to be the "popular brand" ending up in my cart. Am I good to go or is there better or more preferred and/or reliable? Also, why is the Four Seasons heater core $250. and the other three options under $50? I hate when they do that

FWIW, I'll chime in with our a/c overhaul and what we did after draining oil out of the new compressor and starting with a flushed/empty/dry system. The major parts we replaced were the compressor, the hose/manifold assembly, the liquid line/orifice tube and accumulator/dryer.

After mounting the empty new compressor, we added 4 ozs PAG 100 to it......the remaining oil, we added to the accumulator/dryer, as CCKen stated. Buttoned up the new system and took it to a shop that does a/c work. Told them the system was already filled with the factory recommended type and amount oil oil. The machine, the a/c shop hooked up to the system, 1st pulled/held a vacuum on the system. From there the motor was started and refrigerant, by weight (per sticker under the hood), was added to the system. That's been 4 years ago.....still have mid/upper 30s at center vents on max/recirc.

Default Accumulator

Concerning Accumulators:

I tried several accumulators from the auto parts stores around me and the accumulators they had didn't fit my '99 properly. The body of the accumulator would hit the shock tower when the accumulator was installed and the clamp was tightened down.

I finally lucked out with Ebay.

Bought one of these OMEGA accumulators and it matched up with my original OEM accumulator and fit perfectly.

I ran into kinda the same problem with the hose/manifold assembly from several parts stores with regard to our '98 XJ. What their computers showed was different from what was on our XJ. Being about ready to give up, I stopped by a small mom-n-pop local parts store.....same result. The elderly gentleman that owned the place and been there forever asked what the "build date" was......the sticker shows 5-98......he said "that's a very late "build date" for a '98, let's look up a '99 out of curiosity". Bingo!....the '99 hose assembly/manifold was the right part.

Thanks guys, parts list is complete. Most from RockAuto, Accumulator from Ebay, Insulation Kit from Moparpartsoverstock, PAG 100 from Amazon and radiator & heater hoses will be picked up locally. Feel free to keep the advice and suggestions coming.

New parts will most likely come with new o-rings, but if they don't, grab a pack from most any parts store.

Make sure to lube all o-rings with PAG 100 oil at assembly.

Thats because one is made of COPPER and the other is an aluminum alloy. Copper is best and will last another 20 years.
