I think you can get some Pro Comp ES1000 a little cheaper than the SkyJackers. Check out www.summitracing.com

You can use the shocks from an UpCountry ZJ and rear shocks from a 4wd MJ....but the only thing is, Monroe only makes one shock for the UpCountry package (Reflex, the Sensatrac is discontinued) and it's about $40 per shock. The rear MJ would be a sensatrac too and is around $40 as well. You can go to www.monroe.com and search for various shock lengths and mounting styles to see if you can find the cheaper monroe-matic shocks that will work with your application.

You can also use the shocks from a JK, with little modifications to the mounting points, for up to 3" of lift on an XJ. http://fitchva.com/jeep/?p=62

I definitely love my Monroe Sensatracs. Be careful with the upper bolts on the rear shocks. ALL FOUR of mine snapped because they were rusted in place. Thank the Lord for HeliCoil!!

Skyjacker or rancho- at 35 dollars skyjacker sounds like the pick. I have ran Rancho for the past 20 years without any problems, but i don't live in the rust belt! Don't know where your at, but 35 sounds like a smokin deal. I wouldn't worry bout the difference caused by 2 inches of lift unless more lift is in the near future
