Default Brush Guard on a 2000 XJ

I just picked this brush guard (with bumper still attached) for FREE on Craigslist. It came off of a 95, I have a 2000. I've been looking online to find the exact model elsewhere but I am just having no luck. This should bolt right up shouldn't it? Any tips or words of advice from anyone that's seen this brush guard before?

Yes, it should bolt right up.

Hit the hardware with some PB Blaster a few times a couple days in advance before starting. It'll make things easier.

Awesome! Would I use my own bumper or use the one that came with it?

Is the guard attached to the bumper or is it separate?

It should be spearate, but the previous owner may have done something funny...

You'd want to use your bumper...

You COULD use the old one but it'll look like crap. Unless they welded it together the guard will come off of the bumper.

It came with a tag? That's strange.

No it won't fit. So you should just send it to me. LOL
Really you shouldn't have any problems unless to PO welded it to the old bumper. Then you may have to do a bit of cutting or grinding to get her off.

After some more investigation and not figuring out how the bumper was attached, found out the bumper was simply rusted to the brush guard haha. Man I feel stupid now lol.

I have been looking for a long time for one like that. You got one hell of a deal. FREE!
I think they look pretty good even with the stock bumper, and that's what I want. A good brush guard to go with my stock bumper.
Good find!
