Talking broken axle tool?


i was surfing around the internet and i stumbeld across this and have seen on one here and i know every body that has had a broke axle feels the same way when you stuck/stranded and cant do anything about it

they say it can be used on tires from 29" to 37" and heres some axles they list that it works on Dana 35 ,7.5, 8.8, 8 1/4, 10 &12 bolts

price aint to bad either....i just dont wheel hard enough to use on though!

A better investment would be a non c-clip axle (like a Dana 44).

I helped a broken wrongler make one on the trail out of his high lift jack, a couple ratchet straps, and some grease.

I see that its ratchet strapped down to the wheel...but how do you keep it from walking up the tire when in motion? I would think there would need to be some kind of bearing attachment that can go through the wheel hub to attach it to the lugs.

Just bring a replacement axle when you go wheeling. Works really well, just replace the axle, 30 minutes and you're on your way. ( plus it is cheaper )

I think there's adjustable lips the go on the in side of your rim and once its set to the diameter you put hair pins or something similar in the slots so it won't move and walk up the rim on ya
