Broke tranny line HELP!
So today im on my way to school and i see this old military truck so i pull off the little turn around place to take a picture of it and i start to drive again and i notice a lot of tranny fluid on this patch of ice. Well i drive into a parking lot and look under neath and my Jeep is Vomitting tranny fluid everywhere. I probably lost all my fluid. Well i got it towed home and I found out that the passenger side towards the rear, one of lines completely came out. Ill post a picture in a few mins but does anyone know if i just need a new line or what? Does the extremly cold temperatures have anything to do with it?

I hope he pulled over once he saw the leak, and didn't fry the tranny.

So would installing a fitting into the tranny and cutting off the connector on the line and splicing with a hose and clamp be better then the plastic fitting?
Just thinking out loud here..

I recommend changing both cooler line connector fittings. Dorman product, available at O'Reilly, Advance auto parts, etc. They come wih new retainer clips and o-rings.
They're a bit hard to get at but using an open end wrench they are easy to change.
Use Scotchbrite pads to polish up the tube ends and apply a little ATF to them before inserting in the connectors.
