I have to turn the wipers on fast to get them to go on low fast works fine but they only way i can get the low postion is turn them on high first. the itermitten works only when it wants to sometimes if i go from fast to itermitten they well work for a little while and then just stop working

If the switch works at all, then the switch is fine; it either works or it doesn't. What you are describing, it sounds like your wiper control module. It's a little black box tucked up underneath the steering wheel, stuck to the knee guard by velcro. Pull the connector out and clean it really good. Also, it wouldn;t hurt to crack the box open, to see if the electronics are good... maybe clean it.

mine has been goofy too... i bought the bushings to replace.. saw on another thread this helped with funky wiper operation.. but what your describing sounds like the pulse board/control module..
