Looking for some help on replacing a missing torx bolt. It is one of the two that holds on the rear liftgate latch to the liftgate.

Any idea on where I could find one?

Default Liftgate latch bolts in 2000 XJ

Looking for bolts that hold the latch in the rear liftgate in place. Online search returns varying results. Does anyone know what exact bolt size it is? My XJ is a 2000 model.
Planning to go to the junkyard if I can't order online but does anyone know if it is torx head or what?

The 97-98 parts catalog shows a M8x1.25x23 flat head, for the latch in the liftgate. I dont see why a 99-01 would be any different. If you have an ACE hardware or similar nearby, try there. Or even a Tractor Supply. I have found some oddball screws there already.

Lacking that, try an industrial fastener supply house.

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up picking up a set of torx bits for my hex driver from harbor freight and got the bolts from an XJ at the scrap yard. This weekend I have to figure out how to remove the inside panel from my lift gate without damaging it so I can see if these are the right bolts for mine.
