Bogging Out?
ok so when i first start my truck up and i try to rev, the motor bogs out and almost stalls. i have to let the motor idle for a minute or two and then it doesnt bog. i mean yea its a cold start but the tempreature here is like 90... is there any possible reason as to why this would happen? also i have a lot of things running of my battery but theyre not constantly on... i have foglights on a switch, my sound system and a siren on a momentary switch so im thinking if i increase the thickness of my wires from alternater to battery and the ground wire from the battery from the truck it may help but i dont know
can anyone please help me?

I rewired all 3 grounds in 2 gauge welding cable, and start ups are easier. I need to find time to go get a bit more for the positive wires. Take a wire wheel or some sand paper to the chassis ground points and you'll have a great connection. Need a 1/2" lug for the engine to chassis ground point, all the rest are 1 size lower, 3/8" if I remember. Not sure about alternator connection size and the two lugs needed for Power Distribution box.
Best of luck!

Hey there Gizmo. Some of the guys here who actually know things would need to know what year you have. Thought this link might help;
http://www.boyandjeep.com/tech-artic...switch-rebuild <"black" connector may be grey.

First off, how old is your tune-up hardware? Plugs, wires, cap and rotor?
Have you ever cleaned your throttle body and Idle Air Controller?

If it were me I would show up at any parts store and ask for plugs, wires, cap, and rotor for your year truck.
Maybe even an air filter as well.
What year is the truck? Could be needing an o2 sensor.

I would change the o2 sensors and do a tune start there and report back... I would get a brass cap and rotor... and do not cheap out on the tune up stuff.. you will regret it later...
