Body parts, Please help.
I am looking at a 98 XJ that has front end damage. It looks like in the pictures its goin to need a hood, pass. fender, grill, headlight assembly, etc. The damage is on the passenger side. But it still has a clear title and all. But i was wondering if a 86-96 jeep would have the same fender and hood? I know alot of the parts are the same but i know the body styles changed in 97 a little. So my question is would a fender off of a 96 or older fit the 98? Please let me know. I think i can pick this XJ up for about 500 bucks, with power everything, 4x4, auto, with 165k on it. Here is a link to see it.

Ok thanks. I just got done researching all the parts that i think that it will need and i found all of them on ebay from 1 store, i doubt that i get them all from there i just wanted to get a price together that way i can show the guy what its goin to cost me to repair it if i get it. It came out to 1165 for parts, i figured about 1000 to have the stuff painted and thats including the paint and clear in that color. So i think that if i offer him 400-500 that would be a good deal for both of us. I think that i would just get parts out of the local junk yard though that way it saves me some money. Plus i would want to do a lift, wheels and tires to it.

****! I never thought about them. I spent a good hour or so on ebay the other night lookin for all the parts and i have a quadretec book sitting right next to my computer. That would probably saved me some time.

it's looks like it's going to need more work than just putting body panels on. Don't forget the frame could be bent from such a impact. The insurance company probably wanted to total it and the owner prob figured he could get more selling it.

The radiator has been pushed into the fan according to the CL ad. its not gonna be a simple job of swapping body panels. thats gonna be a lot of work to straighten the unibody back out.
