Default Blower motor
Iam wondering how hard it is too replace the blower motor in a 96 XJ? Any help or info would be appreciated.

Couple of thoughts:
  1. Are you sure the problem is the blower motor? If it works at the highest switch speed, then the motor is fine. Need a new resistor.
  2. If it's like my `97, then the motor comes out from the engine side of the firewall. Three screws and you can wiggle it out with some care.
Hope you have a nice warm garage to work in.

Its squealing too beat all hell and driving me nut as its been below zero last few days.

Passenger side fire wall three 8mm bolts unplug and pull .
