I just bought spartan lockers for front and rear from Jeepersden in florida.

$536.00 for front and rear lockers. Installed both in one day.

There is a bunch right now in the for sale section. If they would have been there when I was looking I would have snagged them up.

There is one guy with an air locker $450 shipped but many selling lunchbox lockers like spartan, powertrax, etc...

^ Mines a dd as well mate with a welded 8.25 and it works great. Just cornering at low speeds makes the tires bark. Tire ware is the same.

Summit Racing says the PowerTrax No-Slip ships Monday 2-13-12. I've installed 4 of them including in the back of the XJ....very satisfied.

Ive heard alot of guys complain about the detroits or spartans and lockers of that type that they still squeel the wheels around turns by locking up.
I definately dont want that any more. I had a full spool in my 04 TJ rock crawler, and it drove me crazy. My XJ is also my DD so I need something that I can hopefully do myself without setting the pinion backlash and not have it squeeling around corners.

Any suggestions?

Have u looked into/read info about the PowerTrax No-Slip? No ratcheting/clicking in turns....almost as invisible as as a lsd....2-3 hour install ....no messy with ring/pinion set-up (no special tools).

Dont mind the clicking or ratcheting sound at all, I just dont want to be squeeling my tires every time I pull out of my driveway or into a parking lot.

Powertrax no slip. Do it and don't look back... Unless your staring at the fresh dual tire tracks you just laid down.

I've ran a lot of lockers in the rear over the years and while you can squeal the tires going around a corner, if you can drive you don't have to squeal the tires in corners, with a properly working auto locker.
I have a Detroit in my XJ and I haven't broke lose a tire on pavement yet.
