I forgot how to post my own thread......sorry about that.

Heres my issue i went to start my 96 cherokee and she wouldnt fire up but once i did get her running i drove a 2-3 mile roundtrip. Later that day i went to do that same trip but again she was having trouble starting, got her starting but a mile down the road she died. I just rebuilt her over a 15 month period with only 938 miles on the engine. I have brand new camshaft and crankshaft position censores. Later that day me and my buddy tried fixing the car, found a breaker in the cab that was bent out of shape and burnt, once we straightened her up and cleaned it, my jeep fired up 2 consecutive times. but the next morning i had the same problems with her not starting up.
ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
im trying to save money by not taking it in.....need to get on building her up to rock crawling performance.

Default DO NOT USE CHEAP "house brand" SENSORS...

Let me give u a very important tip on those cheap aftermarket sensors, especially Master Pro dogs hit sensors... ..DO NOT USE AFTERMARKET ELECTRONICS...I bought a new CPS & it was bad the whole time.....only to find out, after I returned the new sensor, got new one, Borg & Warner. & worked fine....SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY & get the premium sensors

About 9 years ago, I picked one up for my 1996 XJ manual 242ci from O'Reilly. Might have been Standard. I don't remember any warranty mentioned then and I don't have the receipt. It doesn't show up on my online account, but nothing before 2019 does anyway. Seems like it just went bad today.
Last week, I checked my engine codes to see if it was time to reset the downstream O2 sensor and got codes for random misfires, and misfires on 1 and 6.
Then got the telltale power loss while driving. Disconnected and cleaned the connector, reconnected, and everything was OK until today.
Did some other unrelated replacements and while test driving, it died at an intersection. After a while got a restart, drove to a store, and my cheap OBD II reader said it was a CPS no signal (only time I got the code). Cleaned and reconnected sensor, still died when leaving.
Restarted and got home, died and wouldn't restart.
Ohm test says it's still good.
Replacing tomorrow with a limited lifetime Standard from O'Reilly and keeping the receipt. Nine years on an aftermarket part ain't bad I guess.

That thing was a bear to get in. Ended up using the "all extensions available" method promoted by Bleepin' Jeep and it still took forever.

My most successful method had a wobble extension in there someplace. Using a universal joint socket adapter was too floppy for me to keep on the bolts.

Good feature of the bolts is the long unthreaded shank, which might help in getting them lined up and reduce cross threading danger, maybe.

The factory bolts have tooth type lock washers. I didn't use anti-seize or thread locker, but spritzed some Blaster silicone spray on them. Drove it once and everything worked fine. Will go back in and re-check tightness.

I thought that extra hole was for shoving a screwdriver through to an alignment hole, but I was mistaken.

This video was helpful, even though its for an automatic:
