Default axles?????

so a guy on craigslist is selling a dana 30 and a dana 35 from a yj with 4.11's 300 for the set! are the yj axles shorter then the xj axles or would they be too short and not have enough tire clearance?
i was looking at 1800 to regear but if i can do it this way it would be alot cheaper and more fun

thanks cole

If you're going to swap axles you might as well get a rear axle that's stronger than a D35. Most people here will tell you that. They will also tell you not to regear the 35 as it's wasted money; D35 is a weak axle and prone to breakage. The deal looks tempting & waiting is tough, but be patient. The right deal will come along and waiting might save you from having to do it all again.

X2, wait until you can swing an 8.8 or something. I went through 2 D35's and an 8.25 before i got mine. Wasted a lot of money.

Edit: 1800 to regear is outrageous. Going rate around here is 300 an axle which is still a bit steep imo. I did mine myself
