I absolutely understand the economic factor. But the truth is simple. Your cheap lift just cost you money... If it has done it already, it will do it again. Do a search for S-10 bastard pack. Should be able to scrounge the parts at the JY...

Just so you know, it's not just S10 springs that work. Any leaf spring that is 2.5'' in width will work as long as it is not longer than the current eye-to-eye measurement of your leaf pack.
I used Chevy leaf springs. Do not replace your lift blocks. They are causing the axle wrap. Also, once you get your bastard pack set up the way you like, you may need some shims to fully correct the angle of your pinion. This may be part of the problem...how bad were your driveline vibrations beforehand?
If all else fails (if a stiff bastard pack doesn't reduce wrap), then you may be forced to build a ladder bar. This is highly unlikely in a cherokee...they are generally only needed in short wheelbase vehicles with high lift and soft leaves. Most notably the YJ Wrangler.
