The most common would be the D44 in the rear some cherokees came with them stock.Axle swaps are not always simple or cheap.Start doing some research on it.Here or other sites.

thats what i figured...ive found that old wagoneers sometimes have the proper housing for this, if so is there a housing that i can do that with, with little to no fabrication?

aside from cherokee rear 44's and rubicon front 44's every axle swap is going to require some degree of fabrtication

do some research

anything thats not factory from a cherokee... d44 from fullsize wagoneers ect........ will need fabrication.... weather its leaf spring perches, or coil spring buckets or even control arm mounts.... it all depends on what the axle came from originally.... fullsize anything and the axles are wider....(full width) anything shorter is pretty dumb to try (axles from suzuki samurai)lmao i've seen it) but just like the others have stated. do some reasearch
