Default which axle do you have?
So i think my rack and pinion are shot I havnt had time to open everything up yet but if so im gonna have to replace them or buy a new axel and i think its a dana 35 but im not sure help me out its a 98 cherokee sport 4.0

You are saying your rack and pinion. That usually deals with steering. Do you mean pinion gear in you axle?

Just go buy a 8.25 out of a junkyard or craigslist for $70-120

Btw. Cherokees do not have rack and pinion steering.
