hey guys :] ok so im puttin in 4wd. i was tearing down my axle, gettin it ready to install, and i happened to notice tht when i turn my driveshaft (the part it connects to on the pumpkin, dont kno the name.. )only the driver side turns. the passenger side will turn by hand but not when i turn the driveshaft. is this a problem or is tht jus how it works? thanks for sheading any light!

sounds like a typical open diff to me (normal stock operation)
If you hold the shaft that spins, and turn the yolk (part the driveline connects to on the pinion gear) the other shaft should spin, the shaft with the least resistance (or traction) will spin and cause the other not to if there isn't a good amount of traction on both.
this is why people put lockers in them, to force both the spin equally all the time. just FYI.
