1) The 4-150 engine got the AX-4 or AX-5; the AX-15 was only found with the 6-242.

2) They will not. As I recall, the 4-150 uses the "GM Metric" bellhousing pattern, while the 6-242 uses the AMC I6/V8 pattern. An adapter plate would be required (I do not know if the bell will swap between AX-4/AX-5/AX-15, but I somehow doubt it.)

3) The AX-15, however, is based on a Toyota design (R150 or W150 series, I think,) and you have options if you need a donor: 4WD XJ/MJ, 4WD YJ, 4WD TJ, 4WD Dakota w/V6, and Toyota/Lexus RWD light truck/SUV/Van with V6 (the bellhousing and transfer case housings should swap freely within transmission model, I believe all of the inputs are 1.125"-10 spline, and I believe all of the output are 23-spline. You may have to dig to find a proper pilot bushing, depending on pilot size differences. Swapping input gears may also be possible, but I've yet to confirm this.)
