1990 AX15 2wd trans
AX15 trans out of a 1990 2wd XJ with 135000 miles on the clock when it was removed. Pulled strong when vehicle was still running. Complete with shifter and flywheel (needs resurfacing). I'll take $50 if you come pick it up in Mt. Juliet, TN 25 miles east of Nashville.

Can I use this trans in a 99 XJ that is 4wd? If so and the trans is good I will come and get it for 50.00! Let me know please, I am wanting to convert my xj to a 5speed so bad. My bro in law is about to buy a 97-01 sport like mine buts its a factory 5speed and he wont work anything out with me on trading the trans,. Let me know something. Thanks

A 2 wheel drive trans will not work in a 4 wheel drive without changing some internal components such as the output shaft and of course the tail housing. You will need to find one from a 4 wheel drive to make the swap as easy as possible.

I drove one like mine with a 5-speed the other day and wasnt that impressed. I think I would leave the 355 gears under it.
