I recently bought an ‘00 XJ without the filler tube (dipstick tube). It is shifting fine and the fluid looked clean. Just can’t check the level now. The part has been discontinued from Chrysler.

i have been looking for 3 weeks around dealers, online, junk yards, local part outs, and nobody has a spare tube, except for someone I am talking to here who may have a spare tube from a 99.

The question is will an earlier model transmission tube fit the later 00-01?

i have read some posts relating to the tube being different, but there isn’t a clear answer as there are contradicting info online. Appreciate the help clearing this up.
