All I'm gonna say is:

Go 6" max
Clock the t-case
Get a flat belly pan
Boat them sides
Trim those fenders, maybe comp cut the rear?
Go full width, deep gears, and strong shafts
Cage it
Then get bigger tires, maybe 38"+?

I'm not into mudding much, but that might give you the clearance you want, and will give you a dual purpose, stable rig.

With boat siding and a lot of fender cutting you could run a 6in lift and use the same tiers you want with a 10in + lift. Then if you run full with axles and off set rims you would be with the big boys (40+ tiers). This would also keep your hight kinda low. Remember you want axle clearance not body. Leafs all around for just a mudder is cheep you don't need flex. Full hydro steer is a must. Look into combine steering! What you want is possible from a xj. If you have a welder and a brain it won't cost much and will turn out sweet.

Thanks for the Ideas guys. So I'm thinking going 2" more and bump stops. There was a guy out there with 6.5" and 35's and he didn't have many problems. Then agian I didn't have many problems either I was just scared of water. This is our dry season and I had water up to the floor boards, and for some reason a snorkle didn't keep me warm and fuzzy inside.

i see it is possible but its not really practical. in the money you spend on everything else its worth it to get stuck more often. im due to transfer next summer and i will probably be leaving south florida so i would have to redue it to suit my needs of where im going.
