Trying to repair my 2001 jeep alternator. I got a repair kit and was going to replace some of the parts. Is the crack on this frame dangerous? Also the place I bought the parts.from.said my core is bad,.what's that mean and is it true?

Correct... That's not considered rebuildable... And I see two cracks there...You should consider it not rebuildable as well....

 

Thank you. Now...what brand? Everything is made in China. I see acdelco and db electric on Amazon, then your knockoff parts by advance/auto etc. any specific to look into?

 

I've got the original to my 99 {124 amp, 67,000 original miles} ... I upgraded to a higher amp unit and heavier cables during my build... It's yours if you want it.. You pay for the ride...PM me with the details if you're interested... PS: I used the DB electrical unit for the upgrade... Came with a performance sheet with an rpm scale....
