Airbag disconnect plug behind steering wheel, 99 xj?

Airbag disconnect plug behind steering wheel, 99 xj?

Can some tell me how this dang thing works before I destroy it, thanks.

This quick disconnect? Slide the red lock to the side then depress the lock tab, then pull the connector apart....but not by the wires.

No, steering wheel airbag. Got that one no problem but the steering wheel is giving me fits. Think I have already damaged it so will probably need new clock spring too...
