i had the same problem twice (when i was workin on it in the garage i once left the door open, another time i left the keys in the ignition with it switched on). both times the battery was drained. i was still able to start it, but it would die and idle roughly. got a new battery and that solved the problem
After letting my battery drain, I had the same problem. I suspect the alternator is putting a heavy load on the engine while trying to charge the battery and quite possibly not outputting a consistent amount of voltage/current.
I put a trickle charge on the battery overnight and all was well.

I'm guessing maybe letting it completely die is letting your ecu lose stored map memory. Once powered back on may take a few to collect itself and get back on track. Idk i may be talking out my butt but my .02

Well that's nifty. I've seen talk of 40 cycles.....my Renix is dumb as a stump, which is fine with me. If your battery or alternator is going you'll probably know soon enough.
