98 Jeep Cherokee won't start
Jeep Cherokee won't start after overheating. I am getting spark at the plugs, am getting fuel, all guages are working fine. Can I do a cold compression test since the car won't start? How can I narrow the root cause down further?

Yes, you can perform a compression test if the car won't start. And it wouldn't be a bad idea, considering your situation/symptom. How badly did the engine overheat?
