Is It Safe to Hose Off the Engine?
I'm wanting to clean my engine, it's looking a little bit grimey. I was thinking of using some Simple Green and letting it sit for about 20 minutes and then hosing it off. Is it okay to do this?
I don't want to mess anything up.

Some people will tell you to cover your dizzy, ecu, alternator, and sensors. I just spray the crap out of mine with a pressure washer and use some purple power degreaser, haven't had any issues.

I only covered my battery with a trash bag. Just don't spray directly on any electrical connections and you'll be fine. For added safety you can put some dielectric grease in all the connections. Have fun!!
