Default 97-01 C8.25 rear axle

im thinking of swapping out D35 axle on my '92 xj to C8.25 from a 97-01. my question is are all the axles from those year same? i know the '99 was the last year for high pinion front D30. just want to know if after the year '99 with C8.25 was any different to 00-01 C8.25.

Get some disc brakes while you're there. Rip em off a ZJ or KJ

X2..nice mod that makes brake changes a lot simpler plus if you snap a c-clip, the caliper will hold the axle in..

It'll hold the axle to an extent. Not something to rely on if you do some how manage to snap an axle shaft

Yes it does. Also if you break an axle shaft you won't have to worry about your wheels flying off. The caliper holds the rotor in place and is fastened to the backing plates that are bolted to the axle.

And yes, do this mod. It's well worth it.
