ok so lets start from the begining. came out to my truck a few days ago and the battery was dead. considering i bought the truck about a year ago and the battery was old i replaced it. then i noticed while running in park that after about 10 mins the engine slowed down and i watched the battery gauge go down. so i replaced the alternator bc i needed to be somewhere fast and it looked like the alternator was original. so after all that i still have the same problem. let it run for about 10 mins the it stalls out. you can drive it and there are no issues what so ever. truck runs amazing! only when in park does it stall????? looks like there was a tune up on it not to long ago and the plugs look like new. so im guessing a fuel problem? fuel filter maybe? any recommendations will help thanks!

 

Your idle air control valve could be super dirty or not working. I would try cleaning it and also where it goes into the throttle body really well. There are threads on how to do that if you google it. That is what I would start with.

that was it. icv was completly covered in gunk!!! cleaned out the trottle body as well considering i was there already.

 

Woohoo. Normal maintenance wins again.
