1990 xj laredo. Are the lights behind the climate controls?

 

Yes, there is a light behind the HVAC controls.

Its a very small bulb and 9 of 10 the itsy-bitsy socket will crack when you twist to remove it.
I have never had one come out in one piece. It still will hold the bulb but will not keep the socket secured to the climate controls.
Fancy electrical tape usage is usually called for.

 

I had the same problem when I replace a bad bulb on mine.

 

6 month old thread, but what size is the bulb?

 

37 or 74 the number if i remember correctly .

Where did you find the LED's that fit and do you recall if you seen them in green?

 

EBay and all colors I think

 

Just came across this thread, and I know it's old. I was hoping you remembered the watt of the led or any information you might still have because I have also come across the problem of no lighting in my HVAC controls. Thanks in advance

 

Dumb question for you guys. My lights are also out, I ordered the bulbs and they just came today. I am going to install them tonight, but when I took out the controls a few days ago the light was already unpluged from the back and I dont see where it goes.

Is there a diagram somewhere that shows where they plug into the back of the HVAC controls?

 

Just gonna have to feel around for the little holes they plug into. IIRC, one on each side in the back?
