Default 89 knuckle on 95 d30 axle

i got a 95 i4 manual with a busted engine. i would like to use the axles with 4.10 gears on my 89 i6 with on 31" tires.
as i just replaced all brakeparts on the 89 and the stuff on the 95 is pretty rusted im wondering if i could save some money by swapping over the whole knuckle? except getting some new balljoints...is there anything to worry about?

nothing to worry about. the knuckles will swap over so you have the 89 brake caliper mounting brackets for your 89 calipers.

im wondering what balljoints to use: the upper ones seem to be the same for the 89 and the 95. but i get different numbers for the lower ones.
( checked on rockauto)
89
moog
k3134t upper
k3137t lower

for 95
moog
k3134t upper
k3161 lower

i guees i need to use the balljoints for the 89 knuckles?

Only difference should be theres a adjusting sleeve in bottom of the 89 as far as I know. Id see if all components from 89 knuckle will swap on to 95 knuckle.Im debating my self on a newer knuckle on to my 89 to get rid of that preload sleve.

i went from my 90 axle to an 89 to get rid of my vacuum cad and just swapped out the knuckles and brake calipers. i think i just used ball joints for a 90. didn't need adjuster sleeve, although it did come with the ball joints.

ok. i should get the lower ball joint for the 95 axle and look for one that comes with the sleeve?

like this dana spicer upper and lower kit for a 95 d30 706944X :

http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....0268&jsn=10633

perhaps its not even necessary to replace those sleeves
just replace the sleeves if needed ...

So everything from 89 bolted directly to 90 from ball joint out correct ?
