Hunting down fr. end noise ,sounds like when a bad tie rod starts to go and rocks back and forth but I have changed all that sounds better but still a noise from pass. front.. .u-joint ,hub all are OK .Noticed I could slide the front of the lower control arm sideways when not on jack stands but will do it with a good pull .Will not do it when jacked up ,is tight ,probably why I missed it . Question is , is it a worn control arm or a bad bushing ,bushing looks old ,some cracks but nothing major. I don,t want to buy bushing if it is the arm . No control arms to be had at the parts store but a bushing kit .Any suggestions on control arms if I need them , is 89 basic cherokee 4x4 .Can,t find too much online yet , do other models fit? Getting hard to find parts for the older stuff .I,m In Canada if someone has a line of a good online store. Thanks in advance , beer time

Just to add I never go off roading ,just for snow when needed . Would this be caused by jacking the fr. end up under the pass. control arm ,I,m thinking so .I see it done lots .

I had bushings that appeared tight and I couldn't move them, but were squeezed out the sides and cracked looking. I replaced my LCA's and definitely felt a big improvement in the overall stability.

Thanks ,decided not to put new bushings in ,not feasable money wise and time to get them push in . Found a little shop in town that caters to the small guy and got a set of lowers for $140 . Good price for here in Canada ,Rock auto would have been the same price CAD.but a longer wait time Lordco which is Parts Pro in the U.S. had only one in there system and was 110.00 each. It took awhile to find that noise , depends on how you park ,sometimes you could rattle it but most of the time I couldn,t .Wouldn,t rattle jacked up .
