Default 88 starting issues

I have a 1988 Cherokee, 4WD, auto, 4liter I-6, and it seems to have similar issues as trovilcl, except its intermittent. It wouldn't start yesterday, it started this morning. I have done the Pink Posts. No spark to the plug, no spark from the coil. It was taken to a reputable shop, friends of ours, and they kept it for three weeks, starting it daily, running it around the block. They never had a problem. We've been running it daily for three weeks, and yesterday was the first time it did this to us. Plugs, cables, cap all replaced, CPS replaced. Looking at the pix of the MAP sensor. The one on this Cherokee is different

MAP to intake manifold.

Two things besides this. On one occasion, the car wouldn't catch for the mechanic. He was fooling around with the CPS wires, and it suddenly started for him, which convinced him it was the CPS, which got replaced. Problem persisted. The next time, the car wouldn't start, I'm under the hood. There's the clump of wires against the driver's side firewall, I don't know the proper name for the two boxes of terminals, and for whatever reason I shoved the boxes, and once again, the engine started. That same act this time didn't cause the engine to start this time, so it's all incidental.

Dismounted from the firewall, plastic shroud pulled off from the side I shoved on.

All Help Greatly Appreciated,

All Help Greatly Appreciated,
SpaceCowboy: You need to go through Cruisers links one at a time as you have an intermittent no start. I would suggest doing Tips 1 through 5, and you really ought to do Tip 27 below:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bz4d...aEE/edit?pli=1

Your two boxes of wires are the infamous C101 connector. My MAP is also hooked up to my intake manifold like your's is. Most likely you have a ground issue or bad crimps in the bundle from the C101.
