88 Manual to auto swap.. ??????
Ok so i am about ready to start the swap on myy 88 from the awful pukegoat 5 speed to an aw4 of the same year.. I need all the info I can find on this swap as far as the steps to take, what needs switched etc.. I have the complete donor jeep so I have all the parts I need but are there any write-ups or ones that have done this swap? ANY suggestions would be spectacular!

most swap the pos pg-5 for an AX15, much eaiser than an auto swap. If you want an auto rig, why dont you build up an auto and keep the standard for a DD

its much more then just a few details. i do remember the hardest part was intergrating the tranny computer into your harness. Unlike you manual tranny the AW-4 is fully computer controled and tieing it into the engine computer takes patients.
