what is your end goal for the rig. its cheeper to go from stock to stupid in one shot vs buying parts here do this then a little of that. That would be a big help off the bat.

I recommend just keeping it simple with a 3" lift and 31's. Check roughcountry.com and rustysoffroad. com. JMO

long arms are just that longer arms for the suspension they mount closer to the middle of the jeep and allow for more axle articulation and travel. Not needed for a daily driver new to the sport rig.

suspension is tires, shocks, leafs..etc obviously..

long arm is a type of lift kit, there is a short arm too. honestly i would not spend the money on a long arm kit i dont think its worth it if its your dd. BUT, by all means that is MY opinion..and im sure over half of the forum disagrees with me..but its an opinion and i think a lift over 3 inches and 31inch tires is stupid on a DD unless you're going to be wheeling the hell out of it.

if it were my and I had a bone stock XJ to build from a simple 2in BB 31s and armor is where i would start as its a cheep way to get a good looking rig with out wasting much money on parts you'll have to replace if you go bigger. but thats just my .02
