Awesome info on injectors. Breaks it down Barney style. Kinda makes me wish I went with the ev6 style 703s but the 943s are still a huge upgrade over the ticking time bombs the renix comes with.

Gads my headz about spinnen. Neat link! So I might check for the clip-nut slot on the 700's
I bet you are fine. The seam that leaked on the Siemens Deka..I doubt anyone repeated that time bomb.
I edited and messed all around with my post's because one link seemed to be clearly wrong. At least here they just omitted some stuff instead of posting incorrect info. http://www.fuelinjector.citymaker.co...low_Rates.html
Hey Bingo! at least the two agree on your 943"s. Barney stile! Ha!
It took me three JY trips and something like $80 to coral up my 703's! (8 of them).

[QUOTE=DFlintstone;2304036]Funny! That's twice I turned on my computer minutes after you posted...Anyway I believe it's Bosch # 280 155 700. If you google/Ebay things like "19# ford yellows" that is what comes up...often. It WOULD be nice to hear from somebody else though. I think those are the correct length, with the correct plug and play EV1 connectors, and 4 holes. In the Ebay listings you will see lots of "applications" for them. Trucks, vans, Mustangs, all sorts...pages of them. Myself I'd go for used from the JY to maybe save a buck, but vendors here, (and Ebay sellers), might have cleaned/checked them, even "flow matched", where they test and group injectors that flow about the same. I guess there are slight variances with the same part. I trust Napa as well but they might be pretty spendy compared to used ones.
How is your miss? Your pump noise changing might be a clue, IDK. Rubbing alcohol is cheap!
It still hasn't missed again since it was filled up with Chevron gas. I put another 60 miles on it today when I took it hunting. It probably hasn't missed again because it saw how pissed I was at my muzzleloader for misfiring at a huge boar javelina and it didn't want to become the new focus of my fuming anger. LOL (ya ever been so mad that you couldn't say anything and just sat there with that "1,000 yard stare"?)
Fuel pump has been quiet for a while now. I'm just waiting to see if it starts to miss again as the gas gauge dips below 1/4 tank. That will be a good clue if there's water in the tank. I'm gonna feel like an idiot if all it was was crappy gas from Circle K or water in the tank. I may still drop the tank when it gets close to empty and pull the pump out to make sure it's not sucking air from somewhere when the fuel level gets low.

Water will always be in the bottom....but is will slosh around more when it's low. You DO have a fuel filter there near the tank. I forget if you mentioned checking/changing that. I've blown back through mine. (with it out) into a quart wide mouth mason jar. There was stuff alright. Gotten a little better with the anger thing post 50 years. Sometimes I just sort of "buzz" !
Btw you can click on "quote" to get that nifty blue highlight above^, and even the other """ symbol on another post first , and "multy quote"
I've had horable times with the water in the ethanol blend. If the darn thing would just quit I'd find the problem. But sort of usually work...OK 1/2 choke today but not tomorrow..
Pull the cord again..maybe this time...The guy selling it drives Vette.

I replaced the filter not too long after I bought the jeep back in june or july.
Talking about the alcohol in the tank trick to get rid of water, I did an experiment a few years back where I put a few oz of gas in a glass jar, added just enough water to be able to see the two separated liquids. I then added the rubbing alcohol and stirred it up.
Theory: alcohol will mix with water. Alcohol will also mix with gas. Gas won't mix with water. Adding the alcohol to mix with the water should make the water mix with the gas so that it can be carried out and burned through the fuel system with the gas.
The result: alcohol mixed with the water, but did not make it mix with the gas. Water/alcohol mixture stayed on bottom of jar.
So, I guess it works by making the water flammable enough to burn through the system??? Not sure exactly how it works but people have been doing it for years to get water out of a tank, myself included, and it seems to work and I can't prove that it doesn't. LOL

10-4, agreed. I guess even though it is still heavier than gas it has a better chance of working through. Also it does burn...badly but it burns. In an auto/engine everything is vibrating and sloshing around. Then with fuel injection there is no float bowl for it to settle in, waiting for you to try to start it. Id DOES mix with gas much easier than pure water will. My Onan generator only ways about 400 Lbs. Maybe I'll just pick it up and shake it a bit next time it won't start!

The Ford 700 or 710's don't have clipnut slots. If you want those go with the yellow Volvo 0280155746 which is the same injector flow wise but has the wider top and will take the XJ clipnuts.

Well I ran it down to almost 1/8 of a tank and it didn't miss. It's been four days since it was filled up with Chevron gas and it hasn't missed since. On the way hunting yesterday evening I stopped at the same Chevron station and put $20 in it. They got magic gas or something? LOL I told my hunting buddy Dave that he fixed my Jeep. He looked puzzled and I told him that it hadn't missed since he filled it up with the Chevron gas. He said Ah, you're welcome. LOL Time will tell though. It did go for 2 weeks once without missing so we'll see if it was the gas or what. I'll keep putting gas in it from the same Chevron station to eliminate that variable from the equation.
I messaged Programbo about the injectors and he said that the 703 are the better choice over the Ford 19# because I would have to change the FPR with the 19# and that means changing the fuel rail as well. I'm wondering if the 703 are the better choice only because you don't have to change the FPR and fuel rail or do the 19# work better along with changing the FPR and fuel rail? Any clue as to what fuel rail and FPR we would need to go with the 19# Ford injectors? I'll ask Programbo.

) Anyway, once I settle on a 19# (or so) replacements, I will have 8-703's available.

Both the flow rate links I previously posted agree with the previous post on the 280-155-746's being #19 @ 3 bars. They do appear to have the clip nut slots as well . I'm not pullen' (and sellen') my 703's until I have some others installed and working though! I wonder why that seems "new"? I've been watching/figuring this out for over a year...
Much thanks again Programbo.
I just bought;
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281064226718...S:3160&vxp=mtr
Guess I'll see how that works out.
I'm committed now. I just zoomed the image and compared it to a 703 I had here. Maybe a slimmer O ring, if the top won't fit.....Hard to see the difference in the photo, seems to look similar..

Well. I'm just Renix! There seem to be 6 in the photo....Larger top? I guess I'll find out!
Yea, I love my 703's, but the difference between knocking around and highway seems excessive. I keep pretty good records. If these 19# are ANY improvement I will likely see it.
I did post an inaccurate mileage of nearly 25 Highway. Was one 235 mile leg. I messed up...anyway 18 + w/over 270K on the highway highway is real, Don
10-4, WitchHunter, checking that one,

I have a vac gauge loose on a tube in my console. Am I running at a default pulse with (at 23 lbs/hr), with the 703's until I get to around 160*? If I'm running rich won't it take longer to warm up? What if my first ten minutes descend 1,500 feet, will that delay warm up?
There are three clear questions there.

The descent will not delay warmup with teh correct stat in it.
That running rich crap causing long warmups is just that.
