Ok I'm positive I have a 8.25 rear in my 93 casue the 98 model has one and they look the same. But my jeep has a ABS fuse in the box ad there is A ABS light on the informaion center and NO its not lighting up. Could they have made a ABS 8.25

 

well if you do have a 8.25 in the rear its either the 27 spline or the 29 spline. more than likely the 27 spline. I dont think they made a 8.25 with abs. i could be wrong tho. just because you have an idiot light doesnt mean you have abs. i have one too and i dont have abs. just sayin.

 

Yea I think They Were just too lazy too put a Different Gauge on there

 

Dana35 were the axles used with ABS, while the 8.25 were the non-ABS application.

you have a picture of the rear axle? by the cover, you'll be able to tell. both axles had the oval shaped cover, but on the 8.25, it looks like there is this little lip that sticks out the bottom.
