Default 4" Lift Questions

If i am doing a 4 inch lift will i need to do anything else besides relocate the brake lines? I don't have a lot ofmoney and don't want to do anything crazy. This is just to have fun in i'm not going major rock crawling its mostly for a mudding vehicle. I do not care about rogh rides i just want this to be safe and secure.

Every Jeep is different. He may have a 242 t-case and can't install a SYE.

Will this be a mudding only vehicle or will you drive it on the street a lot too.

You will need a new adj. Track bar.

As far as a SYE lift your jeep and if you have vibes then you will need one. A cheaper alternative is the RE Hack n Tap with another Front Drive shaft for the rear. You could try a 4-5 degree shim on the Pack that may help some vibes also.

That is ofcourse if you jeep as the 231 t-case.

x2 on the sye. i lifted mine 4.5 with 6 degree shims on the rear axle and have not done a sye. i do have a very slight vibration from about 40-50 mph. an sye will fix this but it is deffinetly something i can live with.

What all comes with the 4" lift you want to buy?

That's OK, with only 4.5" it is very likely if properly set up that you wouldn't need a SYE anyway. I'm higher than that without one and no vibes.
