No more "one tire fires". Really like ours. Stuck in wet grass........that's a good one. Won't get stuck on rollers either.

1wd to 2wd, you'll get stuck 1/2 as much as you do now.

third page on this thread djb383 talks about his fondness for the PowerTrax No-Slip, if I had 4x2 I'd look at it.

In a drag race 2 wheels pushing might be better, but on loose or uneven surface even 1 wheel pulling and 1 wheel pushing (4wd/open dif) would have the advantage.

the rollers were simulating the lose surface. ive even seen it done in the front end. not goot for road but you get the idea. it seems like this one show is open til one wheel slips. i like that a lot

Did u watch the video? Don't those rollers simulate loose gravel? A locked 4X2 has awesome traction, even with one drive wheel in the air. A locked 4X4 has extreme traction. As the video showed, 2 open diffs can easily fall short of 1 locked diff.

I'm with this guy. ^^ I have a 2wd jeep and can't wait to get my locker next month. I was gunna do the 4x4 swap but I don't offroad that much plus I really don't think I need it. A locker is a great alternative for not having 4x4

I don't know about you guys but I don't have any roads with rollers in them. Yes, Locked 4x2 is better than unlocked 4x2.

Heres another situatuion. 4x4 with open difs vs 4x2 locked. Both rigs sitting with rear wheels in a mud hole, fronts on dry land. Which rig will free itself first?

.....and u don't loose anything if u still decide to go 4X4 after doing the locker. The locker can be done in a few hours in your driveway.
