i have a 95 cherokee sport 2wd and i want to change it to 4wd. i already have the transmission and transfer case, front diff., and rear diff. out of another. will the 4wd trans work in my 2wd. i.e. electrical connections.

 

shifting linkage, drivelines, t-case shifter parts (including linkage part that bolts to floorpan), t-case shift bezel for center console.

 

yep, got all of that just forgot to mention it.

 

what tranny do have in it right now? you must have a 4wd parts rig if you have all these parts. swap them all over. then you will have 4wd.

 

well you need to take out the 2wd tranny for starters lol. then reinstall the 4wd tranny with the t-case. I think there's only one more electrical connector that connects somewhere. but thats about it

 

had a parts jep i crushed it friday. i work for a salvage yard. its the aisin warner. dont know much about them thats why i was wondering about the tranny. didnt know if the trans comp would be different or what. our computer at work says it may be different.

 

what tranny is in the vehicle right now? auto or 5 speed?

and you putting in a AW4 from the 4wd vehicle right?

 

yeah its the same trans only with the t case and better looking fluid

 

bolt it in... itll be fine... youll figure it out as you go...
