It doesnt make sens to be the pump or fan. It runs fine at idle/low speeds. Im thinking either rsdiator or plugged cat.

Not a pluggex cat. Plenty of exhaust. No red heat to it.

Sounds like a boggler? You should most definitely change your hoses though, since theyre soft.

if you're gonna replace the rad, might as well go for the water pump too...i've found alluminum rads for $180, and bought a water pump for $38 to replace...it should be a very easy job, only take you a few hours with someone to help

Done. New radiator and water pump. Prob solved.

Pump wasn't bad but i was not going to remove it to put an old one back in. Took old one to our club so someone else in need could have it. Radiator was shot - fins gone, no flow, just shot.

Not too bad a job at all. Hardest thing was getting the belt off. Those two bolts on the back of the power steering pump are two of the dumbest bolts i've met. But its done and cool as a cucumber.

Thx guys for all your help and attn to my prob. Hopefully i can be a blessing to someone else with this problem one day!

Yes. O.o
Wish i had listened to some one in the first place.
Figured it lasted 170,000 miles. It was a metal one. New one is aluminum w/ plastic ends. Not a huge fan of that but..... When i remove ac i may put a better one in.

Virtually every factory rad installed these days is aluminum/plastic.....they must not be too bad.
