If you look at that plastic bottle on the left side, it looks like the coolant is very dirty. Never buy a 00-01 if the coolant is dirty unless you plan on replacing the cooling system or even the head. Especially one that is 2wd for 6k. I would only buy this if it was 2k. I don't know why they even sold Cherokees with 4wd.

My friends' dad towed a medium-large boat with his xj and it did fine. But he wanted more power so he bought a truck. You should be fine with a 4wd xj.

As another mentioned though, you'll probably want to install a transmission cooler. They're pretty cheap and easy to install.

Thanks for the advice on the car. One more question, Where in the world are y'all finding Jeeps this cheep at? The only one I can find around me is an 04 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 109K Miles...and they want 7K for it?

 

Holy crap. I looked at Craigslist for Meridian, there is exactly (1) XJ for sale. $2,500 with 260K miles and no pics.
Nobody bought XJ's down there or they're all hanging on to them?

You could buy that 04 and make it look like my wifes!
