So I'm back at trying to figure out my fuel leak so I can sell my Jeep.
When the fuel pump primes it begins leaking profusely and as of yet I can't see where. I've dropped the tank and have it rigged up to run the fuel pump but without being able to build up pressure it wont leak. Any suggestions on how to cap off the fuel output so I can build up some pressure? At the moment I'm looking at the possibility of using an old fuel rail I have lying around. Any other suggestions?
One thing I've noticed about this new fuel pump (yes, it's brand new full assembly) is that it doesn't have the plastic clips for the shiny metal thing on top.

First picture is the old original fuel pump, the second one is the new fuel pump. It's leaking from under the fuel pressure regulator. Notice the new one does not have the metal band over the top of it. Is this a design flaw? I've tried putting a block of wood between the top of the fuel pump and the underside of the jeep but that made no difference. Still leaks. Any suggestions?

It wasn't labeled as such when I bought it.
Amazon has a Bosch:
Do you think I would be safe with that purchase?

Yes. It's leaking from the fuel pressure regulator, the silver part on top. It does not leak around any fuel lines or from around the ring that holds the assembly in. There is a rubber o-ring that fits between that silver part and the plastic assembly but it's pretty tight. It only leaks when pressure builds up. Tank is only half full.
It leaks a lot.
It leaks a lot.

If its a new pump take a video of it happening call the company you bought it from and ask for an exchange at their cost. Or.... just get you're self a pump motor and put it in the old assembly

I didn't want to get too long winded, but here's the story:
Bought this Jeep to do a sort of restoration on. Spent a great deal of money on rebuilding the motor and replacing nearly all the normal wear and maintenance parts, fuel pump being one of those. Originally the fuel gauge wasn't working and with over 200K miles on her I decided the best bet was to replace the entire assembly. I only knew to stay away from Airtex and did my due-diligence to avoid them. At the time it was suggested that I buy a Bosch but at over $400 it was just not in my budget. I found my current pump assembly on Amazon for a fair price from a retailer that had a flawless review record. For a year, albeit with very limited driving, the pump worked as it should. This leak developed quite suddenly over the winter. Since the pump is not new and it seems difficult to contact the retailer it came from, and since I can't verify the manufacture of the unit and because the price of the Bosch has come down significantly, and because I have been told by veteran members of this forum to stay away from everything and only buy a Bosch, that is what I'm planing to do.
Even though I'm trying to sell my Jeep I am not the type of person who would just put the cheapest thing in there and let someone else worry about it's reliability. I am only going to buy a Bosch now, just didn't want to wait two months to get it. Think I may give this fuelpumpwholesale.com a try. I'll need to talk to them first though.

If it were I, I'd get a used pump from a junkyard. As far as then selling the Jeep? I see no guilt issues with doing that. If the pump works fine you ain't ripping anyone off.

No junkyard pumps. There is a reason they're called junkyards, because they sell junk. Great places for body parts, interior parts, engines, and stuff like that. Not good for fuel pumps, brake parts, and consumable parts.

Bosch is the orignal factory pump. You can't go wrong installing a Bosch pump module assembly. Carter makes a good pump as well, and a little cheaper. I installed a Carter not long ago and it works good.
