2001 cherokee-random flooding or vapor lock
Once in a while when I park my Cherokee and return back to it a few minutes later it won't start. It acts like it flooded and I have to hold the petal to the floor and then it will pop and shudder back to life but will have a miss. I start driving it and it dissepears and won't do it for a little while and run perfect. I just did a tune up on it and just ran three cans of seafoam thinking maybe a injector was hanging up. So any suggestions where to start? I noticed it started doing it in the warm weather we have been having.

If it runs rough after a hot restart it's called HEAT SOAK, this is due to vapor lock in the # 3 injector, and maybe more than one injector. It can and will at sometime cause a CEL , or a Flashing CEL.

Thank you for your help. I will be doing this trick when I put my 748 injectors in. Right now I have tin foil and it seems to work great. I also started running non ethnol fuel and it made a difference
