2001 cherokee 4.0 creeking and rattling front end (with pictures)
so my 2001 cherokee drives great other than a creaking rattling noise at low speeds and especially when breaking. This occurs once my jeep has reached running temperature. There is none of this noise at speeds over 20mph. My calipers and brake pads are fine. Rotors look pretty new. I bought it 6 months ago and this problem has shown itself in the last 3 months. Here are some pics of the front end...any ideas?
Jack the front end up, throw some jack stands under the front axle and start yanking around on things. Could be ball joints, several steering components, sway bar bushings, ect. Not too hard to trace down. The sway bar bushings that are at the unibody mounts are notorious for wearing out.

+1 on sway bar bushings. People tend to forget about them sometimes but they're responsible for a lot of annoying little feelings in the front end.
