Depends on the condition of your springs. Are they sagging? Some people can fit 30's, some can only manage 235's.

Before we name some decent lift kits, what size tire are you aiming for? Pick the tire, then lift to fit.

welcome!

edit: Here's a picture of mine completely stock after i just bought it last summer. It has 225's on it and i think i could shove 235's on.

235's will fit stock with absolutely no rubbing issues. You can run 30's but you will encounter minor rubbing problems.

Ebay. I got my lift kit for $200 shipped to the house, a dropped pitman for like $60 and shocks thru Summit for $120 for a full set. I'm just lazy and don't like working on things in a gravel driveway, or else I'd have it on right now..

Why did you go with a DPA? how high is your lift?

I got a buddy who is way into Fords and off-roading and suggested it, I probably wouldn't need it, but better to be safe instead of having everything apart and then needing it. It's a Rough Country 3.5" kit. I dug it cuz it had all new FT springs and my choice of either blocks or an add-a-leaf on the rear.

On the XJ a DPA is not needed until over 6" of lift, by using a DPA under that amount you are actually going to make your already bad stock steering worse.

Kyle's right. You also don't want to drop your pitman arm unless you drop the trackbar as well.

In all honesty I would personally never use a DPA no matter what height I was at.

Well, like I said, it was more for insurance than anything. Plus I won't really know until I throw it all on and string the entire front end for alignment.

Take my word for it, at your height the DPA will do more harm then good. I would get your money back.
