2000 4.0 oil pump question
Greetings all,
2000 Cherokee with a 4.0.
Does anyone happen to have an oil pump handy to take some measurements?
I'd like to know the diameter of the input shaft and the slot width for the oil pump.
I have a Moroso Chevrolet pump priming tool and I'd like to know if it will work
before I start disassembling.

The shaft dia is 1/2 inch with a 3/16 slot across the middle...best priming tool is to buy a used distributor on ebay...knock out the cam gear and use a 1/2 drill to prime...I got mine for 2 bucks plus shipping...works great

I just happen to have a cam sensor drive housing here and the shaft measures 1/2", but the drive tang measures 5/32" or .156".
