I think he was asking about converting his non abs vehical to abs and maybe using 2wd abs parts to do it. I am not a expert, but I think 2wd parts should work fine, wouldn't see why they wouldn't

heh. here's a deal for ya, you can have my whole ABS setup if you swap over your non-ABS components into my truck. but, yeah, i think 2wd parts should work on 4wd. i'd look up the part numbers for the components and compare them to 4wd components.

Stumbled across this link, should help.

I purchased a master, booster and prop valve assy from a 96 to swap as well, not necessary right now, but surely it will fail again shortly? I planned to remove all abs components, sensors accumulators hydraulic manifold, pump etc and install the master booster and prop valve from the 96 to my 89. I plan on using the original lines, calipers etc from my abs system. I will take my old proportioning valve to napa and dig through their pile of fittings in the back to find out what fittings I will need to mate my abs factory installed brake lines to the 96 prop valve. I figure it will take an afternoon, tubing bender, some fittings and a 6 pack to accomplish. Hopefully the dealership patched up my abs well enough so it will last a couple more years as is, but you never know?

And yes, I believe 2 wheel drive would not matter. good luck! I've heard rumors that a 96 assy is supposedly the easiest swap and there are many different methods to a successful swap. Here is 1 more in depth link that should help.
