2.8 swap

Engine: 2.8
2.8 swap
I had a 85 jeep cherokee 4x4 with a 2.8 and 3 speed auto...it hardly runs at best...I have read about swapping the 2.8 with a 3.4 but wanted a a trans with overdrive...what would be my best option b/c I want to keep this jeep as it was my mothers and she called him Gods jeep aka mr. leaky...
