Hey Gents,
Quick q. I followed the write-up by 89Laredo (big thanks!!!) for the CAD bypass as the troublesome vacuum system was leaking and not giving us 4x4. Anyway, got the collar moved over as my wife rotated the pass tire and moved the fork to the locked position. Everything bolted back together fine (I'm guessing meaning that the collar and fork lined up) and went ahead and plugged the vacuum tubes back in so I wouldn't have a worse leak.
So after the collar lined up, when we spun the pass tire the driver tire didn't spin? I didn't see if the driveshaft spun. Are both tires supposed to spin or only when in 4x4? I recently changed the gear oil and everything was clean with no metal shavings or broken parts...
What y'all think?

If you spin the passenger wheel with the collar locked in place then EITHER the drivers side wheel OR the drive shaft should spin.
If neither spin then it's not locked in place.

Damn I wish I had checked that before I dropped it back down. Too dark now, and a note to guys with the CAD. Do the job when it's warm and daytime. I did it in freezing rain on snow in the evening. Sucked!

BUT, if the driver's side tire was on the ground, only the driveshaft would spin.
