1999 cherokee no start
Im new to the forum, and any help is greatly appreciated. My cherokee has an intermittent no start. I have ruled out fuel, and im sure its spark related. I have checked the primary and secondary wiring, including the coil and they appear to be within spec. Are there any obvious things to look for? I appreciate the help. Thanks, Jess. You can reply directly to my email if it helps. micheath@oxfordnetworks.net

If it turns over but doesn't start, a primary suspect is the "crankshaft position sensor". It is probably the most common engine management sensor failure on the Jeep 4.0 engine.
SEARCH for information on this critical sensor. If the sensor fails, you will not have spark and you will not have fuel going TO your fuel injectors.

I appologize for the lack of info. The vehicle cranks fine, it will usually start right up and idle fine. After a few minutes of idle it will stall, crank again with no fire. I have checked all of the electrical connections at the coil, ignition pickup, (cam sensor) and grounds. I am going to replace the pickup and the crank sensor today. Thanks for the help.

After replacing the pick up, no change. After replacing the crank sensor it appears to run fine. I took it for a nice long road test, after that it popped a code for intermittent cam/crank sensor. Any opinions on napa parts?
